In this somewhat less than exciting blog I will examine the adventures that I have in life, mostly in front of the televison, while eating dinner or in my perpetual quest to finish all of my dammed grading. I hate grading!!!

Keeping a promise

A friend asked me to blog again. It has been a while since I have had anything to say. I am not sure I really have anything to say today. It has been a stressful few weeks at school. We had some kids busted for having hash at school. They were expelled from every school in Kuwait, taken to prison and beaten, and I don't know what has happened since. We had a bomb threat. It was fake. Two students were expelled, include the Amir's granddaughter. I found that quite shocking. We had a major dust storm. It got into my lungs, which were already full of the phlegm I picked up in the cold climes of the Netherlands. Then a former teacher from the school died. That was sad. She was a nice lady. So you can see it has been quite a busy few weeks.
Thankfully it is Thursday. That is the last day of the work week here. We are having a basketball tournament this weekend at school. That is nice. It has taken the edge off things. A few minutes ago one of the teachers was eating a pork steak in the teacher's room. Kind of shocking really, since port is illegal here. I guess that is what is just happening in the school.
My school's server is being changed, which has really put a dent into my ipod experience. I have been trying to upload all of my music, but it has been slower than I wanted. Also the internet is slow, so it has been a little difficult to watch "Lost" online. But I am surviving.
As I get less interested in being here the weather will make it easier, since soon it will be like hell here. Then I have summer, 51 days off, and then to Shanghai. I am mostly thinking of Southeast Asia. I might meet a friend in Bali. I have wanted to go there for some time. And hopefully I will get to see some volcanos.
Well that is it for me. I will try to right more.
